I raced the drag on lady from 1996til 2007 in nostalgia super stock for the current, now deceased owner,Gordon Gibson, it had a steel bumper,with a plate welded in,a current 4 link,Jericho transmission ran a best of 9.93 seconds at 135mph,was easy to drive,was 1970 paint,very pleased to be involved with, car is still in little rock Arkansas I believe, met Shirley at 2007 meet in Denver, she was in red shorts behind run with gremlin

When snake ditched that badass army car, Raymond still kept Ford body.. this and 10 years prior were my favorite times in drag racing..Beadle and snake my favorite drivers too. all time

I was there, it was a brand new car built by Kin Bates’s brother in law for His wife to drive. It hooked left, she corrected right, maybe over corrected and over it went. It was a lot more violent in person. I watched Bill Wayne stand his Jr Fueler up and tip it over and end up doing the Helicopter on the starting line and I believe Jim Paul did the same in his A Fueler but this one looked horrific. Say what you want about Dave Tuttle, not an easy guy to deal with to be sure but she survived that wreck. She probably should have ran a year or two in NE1 then Jr Fuel before getting behind a Gene Adams built and tuned Nitro Hemi. That car was beautiful and had the best of everything, would have been a low six second car easily that weekend.

I saw this car when i was a kid with my dad at our local Cincinnati buick dealership

I remember that tank.i seen it at Prescott raceway back in the mid 80s that might not be the same one but there was a black wheel standard it was call hell on wheels I'm pretty sure it was it..first wheel standard ever at Prescott raceway in Arkansas I was like 15 yrs old.

I'd like to know every little thing they do to the old Hemi to keep it going, it's amazing !

Now these were Nitro Funny cars ! Billowing smoky burnouts. Dry hops and dry launches. So cool. So entertaining. Today's FC's are so butt ugly and boring.

Either the driver overcorrected to jeep straight, or air pressure imbalance in the slicks, or what? Lol its like the car just lifted off the ground and veered over for no apparent reason.

Wonderful to see that 4 engined wagon driven and driven safely. This is the first time I've seen the auctial car/wagon on video. I've kind of known about these crazy, wonderful Funny car's for decades. If some of you know--plastic model Kit's could be purchased & built of these crazy, wonderful funny cars among numerous Kit's. 3-in-1 car's, ship's, airplanes. As well as too many other plastic parts, as well that I could list. thank you. C/O RDRT.

Many years ago, ran Cayuga Saturday & Niagara Sunday. E/Altered car, '64 Impala SS 409, 425HP and '66 Impala SS 427, 390 HP. great memories.
